Oddly Specific LLC ("Oddly Specific," "we," "us") makes personalized and custom pieces in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This policy explains what we collect when you use oddlysco.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we don't want your information for anything except making and shipping your order.
What we collect
- Order details. When you check out: your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), shipping address, and the items and quantities you ordered.
- Messages. Anything you send us when you ask about a custom order or contact us, including names, wording, photos or logos you want on your item.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information about each visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
- Your cart. The items in your cart are saved in your own browser (local storage) so they're still there when you come back. This stays on your device until you check out.
We do not collect or see your payment card or bank details. See "Payments" below.
How we use it
- To create your invoice, take payment, make your order and ship it.
- To email you about your order, such as your invoice and a shipping notice with tracking information.
- To answer your questions and handle returns or problems.
- To keep business, tax and accounting records.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising. We only send order-related emails, not marketing, unless you ask us to.
Payments
When you check out, we create an invoice in QuickBooks Online (a product of Intuit Inc.) and send you to QuickBooks' secure payment page to pay it. Your card or bank details are entered there and handled by Intuit. They never pass through our website or our servers. Intuit's own privacy statement applies to what you enter on their pages.
We use the QuickBooks Online API to create customer and invoice records, containing your name, email address and shipping address, in our own QuickBooks account, and to see when an invoice has been paid.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services we need to run the shop:
- Intuit QuickBooks: invoicing, payment and bookkeeping.
- Cloudflare: website hosting, storage of our order records, image delivery and security.
- An email delivery service: to send order and shipping emails on our behalf.
- Shipping carriers such as USPS, UPS or FedEx: your name and address, so they can deliver your package.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others. If the business is ever sold, order records may go to the new owner.
Cookies and tracking
We don't use advertising trackers or analytics on this site. The only thing we store in your browser is your cart, as described above. If that changes, we'll update this page.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them to fulfill your order, handle any issue with it, and meet tax and accounting requirements. After that we delete or anonymize them where we can.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing orders@oddlysco.com. We'll do what we can, though we may need to keep certain order and payment records to meet legal and tax obligations. You can clear your saved cart at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Security
We use reputable providers and limit who can see order information. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
